SAN DIEGO – July 17, 2007 -- Althea Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of innovative technologies and services for pharmaceutical development and manufacturing, announced today that Karen Daniels has joined the company as President of the Bio-Services Division. Ms. Daniels, a seasoned senior executive with experience in both public and private high-growth technology companies, represents the latest addition to Althea’s management team as the company continues its rapid expansion in both capacity and capabilities including commercial manufacturing operations.

Her expertise in strategic planning, operations management, staff development and the complex logistics of facilities development will contribute greatly as we bring our new manufacturing facilities on-line.” The appointment of Ms. Daniels will also permit the company’s Chief Operations Officer, Rick Hancock to devote full attention to Althea’s new commercial businesses including the commissioning activities required for the cGMP manufacturing facilities under construction.

Ms. Daniels brings over 20 years of senior management experience to Althea having held executive positions at Genetronics, Plexus Corporation and multinational companies like TDK before her most recent post at Vidacare Corporation, a medical device company offering innovative vascular access solutions for emergency medicine.
